First Aid at Work (FAAW)
This comprehensive, HSE approved, 3 day first aid at work course is for people intending to act as a First Aider at Work. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to carry out a primary assessment, give effective life support, diagnose and treat injuries or illness, and maintain care and comfort of the casualty. The emphasis will be on dealing with life threatening situations and keeping the casualty alive until professional help arrives.
Our trainers deliver dynamic courses based on real life situations, which will enable your staff to gain the necessary confidence to apply life saving skills and techniques. As a result they will be able to deal confidently and effectively with a wide range of situations that could arise in your workplace.
Assessment and Certification
All students will undergo continuous assessment and complete a multi choice questionaire on completion of the course.
First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years, although we recommend that skills should be updated on an annual basis.
Certificates can be renewed by attending a 2 day First Aid at Work Re-qualifying training course.
